ABOUT G.B. MECHANICAL TRUCK CENTER

George Beatty – Owner

George started G.B. Mechanical Truck Center in 1987 after working for another truck repair dealer that closed their doors.  He started up as a mobile unit complete with compressor, generator and welder to look after customers that no longer had anyone to look after their trucks.  George ran the business in this mobile unit for about a year and a half, even servicing customers in New York every Thursday.  Finally he moved into a two bay shop in South Burlington off of Airport Parkway.  In 1990 he moved to Williston Road in South Burlington when he became a Sno-Way dealership.  In 1994 he out grew the shop and moved to his current location 252 Avenue C., Williston, VT.

G.B. Mechanical Truck Center works on everything from lawn tractors to mid sized trucks.  Our mechanics enjoy challenging jobs that a lot of local shops do not want to take on.  Whether it is re-wiring, fabricating, welding or re-furbishing to bring a vehicle back to life.

George enjoys his 1978 Broncos, from his Tuff Truck 1979 Bronco to his collection of Nylint Ford Trucks & Broncos.

In 1998 G.B. Mechanical Truck Center was featured in a Business Digest article titled “Plowing Through Winter“.

George can repair/ fix/ install anything. They have installed the Air Guards customized light bar on their trucks. While working at GB  George has also fabricated a mount to fit onto a zero turn lawn mower for the boss line of plows. This has never been done before. (video and pictures of it shown in the ‘projects/news section)
